In 2019 I guested the magnificent SVIN in their band room, jamming and collecting materials for what would become “ELEGI” — an one-hour concert ritual in ten movements with Århus Sinfonietta .
The piece was first performed for three percussionists, three string players and three wind players from the sinfonietta plus the three members of SVIN, arranged by me, during Aarhus Festuge.
Today the album was released by Dacapo Records on all streaming services, as a digital album and double vinyl, and it’s stunning. I’m not supposed to not say that, but this music is outrageously cool.
