Lasse D. Hansen is a Danish composer and lyricist working in musical theatre. His stage works have toured nationally and appeared in New York; his music for orchestra and chamber ensemble has been performed by the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Danish Orchestra, and the American ensemble Bang on a Can All-Stars.

He has hosted more than 350 hours of radio on Danish National Radio’s P2, devoted to classical, contemporary, and folk music. Lasse D. Hansen teaches composition and music theory at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and musical theatre history at the Danish National School of Performing Arts.

He lives in Copenhagen with his wife and their two daughters.
