Lasse D. Hansen composes score for the Royal Danish Theater’s “Karantæne”

Three weeks ago, director Anna Schulin-Zeuthen sat in my kitchen skyping with another director, Eirik Sæter Stordahl. The idea arose for an online play about a quarantined family. Yes, write what you know, you know.

Now they have made it for The Royal Danish Theater with some of Denmark’s best actors. I have composed the music and a final song for The Royal Danish Orchestra’s brave musicians with bass baritone Simon Duus as soloist. Royal Ballet dancers Kizzy Matiakis and Tim Matiakis give the music body in the most beautiful way. No one has met at any time.

“Karantæne“ (”Quarantine“) premieres tomorrow Thursday 9 April at 20.00 at the Royal Danish Theatre‘s Facebook page and can subsequently be streamed on KGL Xtra until 13 April.
